I guess I would never describe myself as a “Fashion” Blogger. My mum and/or sister would actually scoff at the idea; forever describing my style as “weird.” Rude aren’t they? I much prefer the term “quirky.” But working in photography and on social media, I am contacted quite regularly by brands that would like me to showcase their wares. I’m a tough cookie to please and I say No – A LOT. Because for one, I really have to like what is on offer. Secondly I have to believe that my audience would also find it of interest; and finally, does it tick the boxes when it comes to the values that are important to me. One of my pet peeves currently is watching “influencers” advertising just about anything for either money or notoriety. So many beautiful photos tainted by the terrible placement of a bottle of wine, a Visa card or shampoo!! Each to their own, but I don’t think people are stupid. There’s a reason why advertisements receive less engagement on platforms such as Instagram. Nobody likes to feel that they’re being sold to, especially if the product has no relevance to what’s happening in the photo or if it doesn’t personally appeal to them. So you won’t find me doing that. If you see a photograph of me wearing it, doing it, eating it, it’s because I like it, and I think perhaps you, or someone close to you, may like it too.
Which brings me to this, my first ever fashion review for British Jewellery Brand Boho Betty. I love Jewellery and I’m usually always buying far too much of it. But I really like to seek out unique pieces, things that I can make my own. What initially attracted me to Boho Betty were the stacking bracelets. I love the idea of creating your own combination, or you can purchase the “already put together” sets. Either way, I get excited about the idea of being able to really make my jewellery individual. Then I found the fan tassel recycled earrings and I was literally fan-girling, pun very much intended. It’s no secret that in 2018 I started really trying to focus more on sustainable, eco friendly living. So when I see companies out there, doing their part, I like to pay them some much deserved attention.
Who are Boho Betty?
Boho Betty are an independent British Jewellery brand, founded in 2012. Their mission is to empower women to express their own individuality. They pride themselves on high quality, handmade, and ethically sourced designs; inspired by the different cultures of the world. There is a very big focus on beads and stones in their work, there are even healing stones in this the Autumn/Winter collection. And because of the whole layering/stacking ethos, you can simply re-invent each set by adding or taking away – therefore hopefully eliminating the need to over purchase or to discard items as trends and seasons change. Luckily for you, you’re also in time right now to catch their New Year sale, with some items having a staggering 75% off. One of the bracelets featured in this review in fact is down from £18 to just £4.50 (linked below). Plus if you spend over £20 you are entitled to free UK delivery. The sale is only on until the 11th January so if you’re in the “Treat Yo’self” or someone else mentality – hop on over.
So what did I choose? Being a bit of a rose gold nut (how very on trend of me – I KNOW!) I opted for the Chica Rose Gold Star Friendship Bracelet , The Karse Gold Star Bracelet and as previously mentioned, the Fan Tassel Recycled Earrings, which are sadly now out of stock; but fingers crossed will be coming back soon. There are of course some similar styles on their website in the Earring section. I literally love all of the items Boho Betty so kindly sent to me…… in fact I wore the gold stars to death over the festive period. The Rose Gold bracelet is probably my every day staple as it goes with pretty much everything, it’s comfortable and it’s so well made that even my little blonde tornado of a boy hasn’t managed to damage it. The two bracelets go incredibly well together and so far they have afforded me plenty of compliments. That being said, they also work just as well as stand alone pieces. The Earrings really are a statement, and that’s not something I would usually feel that comfortable with. But for special occasions or when you’re looking to stand out – look no further. Anyway, thats’s enough of me gushing. Check out the pics. Check out the links. And if you’re looking to invest in some new affordable, unique and versatile jewellery items; then perhaps Boho Betty will be right up your street.
Thanks so much for reading my first ever fashion review. I actually really enjoyed setting up and being a part of a fashion focused shoot…. so who knows, you may be seeing more in the future.
Love, as always

First of all, mum and sister – hush! I love your style because it so clearly seems YOU. AND you make it look awesome. So again, mum and sis… sshhh.
Second, I may have burned dinner for starting this reading because I couldn’t let it go. And me not reading fashion posts in general – that says A LOT.
But it’s okay, my choice to multitask, again prior knowledge and experience.
Third, I love your attitude towards advertising and setting the bar high and being “picky”. It is so easy to tell when it is written for cash and when it is written for passion.
Four: never stop writing. Fashion, autism, health whatever – just never stop. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You are always my favourite <3
Thank-you first of all for digging my style. I agree, it's just me and not really determined by what's trendy etc.
And I'm sorry to find out via Instagram that you did indeed burn your dinner, but thanks for prioritising reading what I've written - I hope it was still edible.
Much Love X

Thanks for sharing this, Boho Betty sounds like the kind of jewellery brand I’d love – your pics are amazing and I love the items you’ve chosen.
Thanks for being so genuine and honest about everything too – I totally agree that people don’t like to feel like they are being sold to, and they are not daft to think that everyone is so genuine about their choice of outfit/jewellery/makeup etc on insta or anywhere.
Brb, away to see what sale goodies they have left! X
