Mother Clucker…… DERBY WING FEST delivers yet again!!

I had an absolute blast at @wingfestuk at @bustler_derby this weekend. The sun was shinin’ the beats were pumpin’ and the Wings were off the charts, incredible.⁣
⁣
Honestly, the Wing vendors came from all over the country and they were not messing around this year. With each stand cooking up a Buffalo Wing and a Wild Wing there were just so many ways to tickle your tastebuds.⁣
⁣
For us, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch from @eatpoorboys was just genius and we literally licked our plate because THAT SAUCE 😂 Big shout out too to our pals @the.wing.guys @dirtychickenuk and @eatthebird. We gave your Wild Wings 10s all the way 🤪⁣
⁣
Thanks again @wingfestuk for putting on such a great event. We loved the addition of the beer puppets this year 😂 and the Iced Gelato Pops. Congratulations to all of those who received awards. We cannot wait to see what you come up with next year.⁣
⁣
Wing Fest is coming to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol THIS SUMMER so be sure to head to their Insta/Website and secure your tickets because this is a party that you do not wanna miss. Might even try to get over to Manchester myself so perhaps I’ll see you there 🙌🏻⁣

Bringing about the bank holiday in style at the exclusive Smokehouse event at @iceandsliceatthekiln in Swadlincote.⁣

I was lucky enough to be there at the last event taking pics and then me and the girls grabbed a table and chowed down on:⁣

It’s World Autism Awareness Day and I want to express my gratitude to my greatest teacher and my best friend - my darling Charlie.⁣

12 years of loving you, of learning so much about the world, about life, about acceptance and about resilience.⁣

It hasn’t always been easy. We have had days that weigh so heavy I’ve felt certain I was going to collapse or crumble beneath them. But your strength and your bravery inspires me to go on and to do better, for you, for me and for all the other children and adults who are just trying to be a part of a world that doesn’t always understand them or even want to acknowledge them.⁣

It’s been 45 days since my birthday and I am STILL thinking about this Lasagne 😍⁣

I’d been boring the girls to tears talking about @lombardoslasagne for actual months; so they finally caved and said we could go to celebrate my 39th trip around the sun and let me tell you….. not one of em was mad about it in the end!⁣

This Little Lasagneria (Nottingham’s first AND only may I add) is an absolutely gorgeous and intimate dining experience and if you’re looking for authentic Italian Lasagne….. this is the place.⁣
⁣
With 6 fresh, homemade Lasagne on the menu plus a monthly special, you’re going to find it almost impossible to choose. I opted for La Classica and it was delizioso. The perfect ratio of sauce to pasta and meat…. I was in 100% food heaven 🇮🇹 ⁣
⁣
For dessert I chose the Nutella Tiramisu because…. I mean, do you even need an explanation? Two of THE best things in the world…… combined. ⁣I can’t even put in to words just how scrumptious it was.
I also snaffled a bit of Bestie’s Pistachio Cheesecake which was equally as mouth sexy.⁣
⁣
We seriously can’t rave enough about this place. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, it’s just the whole package. Book yourself in and thank me later. Open Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. ⁣

What an amazing day at my first ever @kidztoadultz_exhibitions in Coventry.
So many inspirational and fabulous people, charities and companies supporting children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs, AND the people who care for them. ⁣
⁣
These exhibitions are a brilliant opportunity to try out equipment and products, attend specialist seminars and just join in all of the fun and activities.⁣
⁣
Not all of the exhibitors have Instagram accounts but you can see a full list of attendees with their contact information on the KidztoAdultz website. Plus all of the information for the next events in Farnborough and Manchester.⁣

We had such an amazing time learning how to make chocolates at my most fave @_studiochocolate in Nottingham.⁣
⁣
When I got a gift voucher to attend one of their technical chocolate making classes for Christmas (I feel like this has set the bar pretty high ♥️) I was literally buzzing. And what an experience. From tempering the chocolate to make the crispy shells, choosing the flavours for our fillings and making the creamy ganache to giving them that final sparkly dusting - it was a Chocolate Lovers dream come true.⁣
⁣
And in case you’re interested, we opted for vanilla and sea salt in our milk chocolates and peanut butter in our dark chocolates. They were *Chef’s kiss* perfect and I still can’t actually believe I made them 😂⁣
⁣
Studio Chocolate offer three different types of classes which all take place in their Nottingham studio/kitchen and can accommodate small groups to families to hen parties.⁣

It only seems right that my final post of the year

It only seems right that my final post of the year should be about one of the ABSOLUTE BEST things I ate in 2022.⁣

I’m sorry that it isn’t a little more local but trust me…. this brunch is 100% worth travelling for. In fact, I would happily jump on a plane to Krakow right now if I knew I’d be eating this again tomorrow morning.⁣
⁣
@muhabbet_krakow is a very popular and gorgeous little cafe in the old Jewish Quarter.
Imagine Turkish cuisine with a Polish twist; Muhabbet serves breakfast and brunch every day and also the most amazing coffee, Mezze plates and cocktails. The atmosphere is just fab and relaxed with lots of greenery, cosy floor seating and even an outdoor dining space.⁣
⁣
We ordered the Bal Kaymak which was French Toast with Pistacho Paste, Blueberries and Raspberries and a sweet clotted cream drizzled with honey. I can’t even begin to put in to words just how amazing it was. It honestly blew my mind and my tastebuds.⁣
The French Toast was cooked to perfection and the Pistachio Paste was like nothing I’ve tasted before. I even asked for the recipe but was told it was top secret 😌⁣

In fact it was so good that we went back the next day to get some of their Pistachio Baklava (ALSO MINDBLOWING) and another coffee for the road.⁣
⁣
Everything I ate in Krakow was wonderful but this was a stand out meal and place for me and I would highly recommend that you add it to your itinerary if you’re planning to visit this Polish city.⁣
⁣
Be prepared for long waiting times on weekends but nothing will ever be more worth it 😘⁣

THE FOOD AT THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS IN KRAKÓW⁣ 😍🤤

I had my mind well and truly blown by the offerings at the Festive Market at Rynek Główny in Kraków.⁣
⁣
From the freshly baked goods, the Christmassy chocolates, sweets and pastries to the most incredible grills you have ever seen - Polish Sausage (the best sausage that I’ve ever had, without a doubt) Kebabs, Pork, Bacon, Fried onions and vegetables, the softest bread, soups and goulashes.⁣
There was of course Pierogi, Churros, Bubble Waffles and lots of other sweet treats.⁣
⁣
And the delight that was Oscypki - a smoked cheese made of salted sheep’s milk and wrapped in Parma Ham. ⁣
⁣
You seriously need about five days or five stomachs to be able to appreciate it all. ⁣
So much food and so little time - guess that means we will have to go back, right?⁣
⁣
