I’m not going to pretend that I like living in a world where as a woman, I have to be extra cautious about certain things. Travel for example. Whenever I book a trip, whether it be to somewhere here in England or further out in to the world; I always know that my mum will say the exact same thing – “Is it safe?” And as a travel blogger there are often times when I will be jet setting alone or perhaps with just another female, so doing our research about locations has just become something we are used to. When I was told about GeoSure Global® I instantly thought it was a brilliant idea.
If you haven’t heard about it already, GeoSure® is the travel app that allows you to take your safety personally. All you need is a mobile phone or a smart watch to discover your personal level of safety wherever you are in the world.
So how does it work?
Once the app is downloaded you simply search for a destination and an overall score out of 100 is generated. GeoSure® then uses something called GeoSafeScores™ which are broken down in to five additional categories
Women’s Safety
Physical Harm
Theft
Political Freedoms
Health & Medical
The lower the score, the safer that area is considered to be. At the time of writing GeoSure® is continuously measuring over 28,000 locations worldwide and incorporating the most accurate safety and security data available.
Once you have visited a destination you can even submit your own positive or negative feedback which will then be used in consideration of the scoring for that area. Doesn’t that all sound terribly clever and useful? Because let’s face it, when you are looking to travel you just want to be excited and have peace of mind. Whether you’re a female, students, a family….. safety is always paramount for everyone but you don’t want it to be something you are constantly thinking about. So why wouldn’t you want a simple to use app like GeoSure® at your fingertips, doing all the groundwork for you? It’s kind of a no-brainer. You can download it for free right here for Apple devices or here for Android.
Stay safe my little explorers

I liked their female centric safety feature. Not many travel apps have incorporated such an innovative idea. Thanks Beth for letting us know about this app

You’re very welcome. And yes, it’s such an important thing to consider, especially when travelling alone as a female.

I think this app is a great idea, especially that it is based on other traveler’s feedback and not on governmental scores. I have been to destinations where the ministry of foreign affairs warned as dangerous and I had the most loveliest time, feeling very safe.
